A wonderfully eccentric illustrated history of the Bee Gees - told through animal alter-egos. Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb appear here as a lion, a red setter and a beaver, in a surreal cartoon biography that captures the rise, fame and chaos of one of the world’s most successful pop groups.
Written by David English and lavishly illustrated by Alex Brychta (later known for the Oxford Reading Tree series), this cult 1980s edition blends British humour, pop mythology and Bee Gees lore into a vivid time capsule of the disco era.
Officially commissioned by the Bee Gees, the book offers a playful yet affectionate look at their story - from early Manchester days to the height of global stardom. Out of print and increasingly hard to find in collectable condition.
Good to very good condition: Mild surface and edge wear to covers, including faint creases to front wrapper. Internally clean and bright except for the front flyleaf (the page before the title page), which has some slight soiling and marking - not sure from what. Otherwise, a really nice copy, with no inscriptions or annotations. Binding tight.
