Welcome to Printed Affairs. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before shopping.


1. About Us

Printed Affairs is a small, independent bookshop specialising in rare, out-of-print and second-hand titles in art, architecture, design, literature and cultural oddities. Each book is carefully described, photographed and shipped from London, UK.


2. Condition of Books

  • All items are second-hand (unless otherwise stated).

  • We describe condition as accurately as possible (e.g. Excellent, Very Good, Good, Acceptable), noting any marks, inscriptions or wear.

  • Photos form part of the description — please review them carefully.


3. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are listed in GBP (£).

  • Payment is securely processed through Shopify’s payment gateway.

  • Buyers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes outside the UK.


4. Shipping & Delivery

  • Orders are shipped from London within 2–3 working days of payment.

  • Shipping rates depend on the weight and value of your order and start at £3.95.

  • We ship using Royal Mail or Evri, depending on the size and service required.

  • UK orders: sent Tracked or Signed where possible.

  • International orders: please contact us directly for a shipping quote before purchase.

  • Delivery times vary by location; once dispatched, transit times are beyond our control.


5. Returns & Refunds

  • Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery.

  • Buyer is responsible for return postage unless item was significantly not as described.

  • Refunds are processed once the book is received back in original condition.

  • Please contact us before returning an item.


6. Cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled prior to dispatch by contacting us immediately.

  • Once shipped, cancellations are not possible — please follow the returns process.


7. Liability

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, customs or incorrect delivery information provided by the buyer.

  • While we take great care in packaging, any damage in transit must be reported immediately with photos.
