TRUE TRUE TRUE, 2013 | Softcover, 152pp | 18 × 11 cm
The final act in Paul Haworth’s cult trilogy following Silk Handkerchiefs and Alone, Desperate and Going Nowhere. Set in a deliriously grim 2009 London - gangs, pandemics, pop-up brothels and pyramid schemers - Jonny on a Chorizo finds anti-hero Alex “Abs” Brenchley staggering toward something that might almost be redemption. It’s a book about exhaustion, failure and the absurd persistence of hope, written in a tone that swings between kitchen-sink despair and ecstatic farce - absurdist prose at its best.
Designed by Sam de Groot and published by TRUE TRUE TRUE in an edition of 1,000 copies only, this pocket-sized volume is as visually brash as it is linguistically unhinged - splattered in post-punk colour and charged with the spirit of DIY art publishing at its most self-aware.
Near fine condition: Unread copy. Bright covers with just a touch of shelf wear from handling and storage. Spine uncreased, interior clean and crisp.
