In this sophisticated collection of essays, a radical Danish Marxist and feminist constructs elegant, logical arguments that lead to outrageous conclusions: that monogamy, the family, and children should be abolished; and that males should be barred from higher education, at least for a while. This is all somewhat tongue-in-cheek, of course, but the author raises important points along the way. There is also a hair-raising discussion of rape and a description of a visit to the public baths in pre-revolutionary Iran.
Translated by Thomas Teal, this passionate and controversial work continues to be as thought-provoking today as it was 35 years ago.
Very good condition: A touch of surface and edge wear to covers and spine. Slight soiling to the outer page edges.
