Original Biba mail order fashion catalogue in the short-lived series issued between 1968 and 1969. Designed by John McConnell with black-and-white photographs by Helmut Newton, the catalogue presents studio fashion spreads featuring Donna Mitchell and Ingemari Johanson wearing the distinctive late-1960s Biba pieces created by Barbara Hulanicki.
The catalogue includes full-page photographic plates, fold-out spreads, garment descriptions, prices, a sizing chart and ordering information.
These catalogues were produced in response to customer demand for mail-order sales outside London and are now among the most desirable printed material associated with the Biba boutiques. Only six catalogues were produced before the expansion of Biba into the Kensington High Street department store in the early 1970s.
Good- vintage condition: Covers mildly worn with creasing, rubbing and edge wear. Interior complete with light age toning. No loose pages.
