The debut issue of 10 Magazine, a landmark fashion and photography publication founded in London at the turn of the millennium. Conceived as a platform for bold image-making and contemporary style, this first issue sets the tone for what would become one of the most influential independent fashion titles of the early 2000s.
Edited by Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou, with creative direction by Daren Ellis, the magazine brings together a strong roster of photographers and contributors, including Sølve Sundsbø, Venetia Scott, Robert Wyatt and others. The content moves fluidly between high fashion editorials, portraiture and cultural imagery, capturing a moment when fashion publishing was shifting towards a more experimental, image-led language.
The visual identity is clean yet assertive, with a restrained typographic approach that allows the photography to dominate. Editorials range from polished studio work to raw, documentary-style imagery, reflecting the diversity of early 2000s fashion culture and its intersections with music, nightlife and youth scenes.
Now increasingly hard to find, this first issue stands as both a collectable artefact and a snapshot of a pivotal moment in contemporary fashion publishing.
Very good condition: Light edge wear to covers; internally clean and tightly bound.
